IF ANYONE KNOWS NEW GAYDAR PROFILE NAME PLEASE POST HERE!! - JUST CONFIRMED AS jesse_w_agency

Please check amended content of profile - if it still seems to be slagging off other escorts - please send an abuse report to gaydar!

Well done to the guys who complained to Gaydar. I just got an email from Gaydar informing me that the inappropriate text has been removed from the agency profile.

I checked it out and it is true.

I guess some of you read the profile after the chances were made so you did not see any faults or serious problems in the text.

For me this is a clear example on how networks like this one can make pressure when people get together. It is true that this mailing list just started, but I believe the

time will show how this movement can get stronger and many escorts will benefit from it.

By own experience working in NGOs, community groups can make a difference and when people collaborate and get together great results and benefits for the group

can be achieved.

We might not see many changes for now but I heard some of the members on the list are starting to move things forward and getting together. I would like to offer my

help to the group and assist in whatever I can.

I agree with James completely and couldn't have put it better myself.

I don't see any need to mob Gaydar with stacked complaints about profiles saying something that is "objectionable" or "inaccurate". Readers will not necessarily take everything that is written at face value.

One profession that is particularly ripe for self-criticism is the Sex Industry, especially (in my experience) Gay/Bi Escort Services. Let's face it... this mailing list is only a small bubble within that larger "Industry". I would tend to agree that the majority of Male for Male Escort Services (especially in the largest City Centers) are basically the kind of over-rated crap that thrives in small, hidden, semi-professional markets. Most of them would go out of business if they were exposed to normal levels of accountability, competition or professional scrutiny. Even my best clients (those who I wouldn't doubt for a second) tell me that there is an astounding lack of professionalism and punctuality in this industry.

> I have sent the following complaint to gaydar today about a escort agency that I think is seeking to promote is services by running down ours. I haven’t got a problem with escort agencies or with clients going through them rather than directly to escorts, because different people will be more or less comfortable with different methods of accessing services. However I do strongly object to this agency springing out of nowhere suddenly planting the idea in the minds of potential clients that we are dishonest, diseased, charlatans that will at worst cut their throats and run off with their money and at best leave them unhappy and unsatisfied with the service we have provided.

> If having looked at the profile anyone else feels that the jesse-w-agency is out of order, I’d be grateful if you could also complain to gaydar.

> Cheers

> ….fuckwhore

> I would like to complain about the content the commercial profile jesse-w-agency that is advertising in the London commercial escort/client room.

> The profile contains the following:

> "Unfortunately the escort industry is overrun with amateurs, students and the unemployed looking to make quick money from ’having sex’. The increasing number of escort directories and sites has made escorting accessible to anyone with a phone, the internet and a few DIY photos of themselves in boxers. As a result many clients are wasting money and time on unsatisfying sessions and simply not receiving the ecstasy and sexual-journey they booked for."

> Whilst I have no issue competing with escort agencies, as I believe there is sufficient space in the market for everyone. I am unhappy that this agency is promoting its services by making disparaging and generalised comments about independent escorts.

> The suggestion from the advert is that 'many' clients will receive an inferior service by taking the risk of not booking through an agency, and in particular, THIS agency.

> When challenged about this, I was told it wasn't 'all' escorts, but the profile doesn't make the point that many independent escorts provide a good service that clients will also find very enjoyable and satisfying and want to come back to again and again – far from it in fact.

> As well as being offensive and detrimental to my business, the statement of opinion, "As a result many clients are wasting money and time on unsatisfying sessions and simply not receiving the ecstasy and sexual-journey they booked for.", is presented as a statement of fact. It is not and therefore is false advertising.

> The advertisement also states:

> “When selecting an escort clients usually have several concerns. Is the escort going to look the same as he does in his pictures? He is able to provide the service that I require of him? Will he be professional? Will he be discreet? Will I be safe from theft/injury? Will he turn up with uninvited guests? Will he be clean and free from STI‘s?”

> Whilst any potential client may NOT prior to reading this profile, have concerns about the authenticity of pictures, the nature of the service that is to be provided, professionalism, discretion, safety from theft or injury, escorts turning up accompanied by others, and/or the possibility of catching sexually transmitted diseases, when using escorts not of this agency, then they certainly are much more likely to afterwards.

> I and many other escorts have been providing a service for any number of years, and we stand on our professional reputation. If we do not provide a high quality, professional service, meeting the needs of our clients, we do not survive, and therefore I find it extremely offensive that this agency should pop up suddenly suggesting that it is only they that can provide this service. It is utterly untrue, and I am sure the revenues you gain from a large number of escorts who have been in the business for a long time support the argument that we are doing something right.

> Other 'business' commercial profiles have found terminology to promote their services without the need to run down the services provided by individual escorts and I would be very grateful if you could ask this advertiser to amend the text of his advertisement to ensure that the promotion of his business is not at the expense of mine or that of any other commercial advertiser.

Well, I read the original profile text and found it unacceptable and crossing the line. And if Gaydar has removed the offensive text and had a word with the profile holder then there was indeed something wrong with the wording.

I thinks it's a good thing that we don't take it laying down. At least not in the case he he It was clearly against the terms and conditions of Gaydar, so I had no problem to be one of those who stood up for myself and other fellow Escorts. And yeah, I would do it again without even thinking twice about it.
