Giving Out Home Address

Craig

Question

When a client wants to visit me I NEVER give out my address.

To a  general inquiry I'll obviously give out the town I'm based in and will also give out the postcode of the local railway station, I'm only a minutes drive from there.

When a meet is arranged I'll ask the client to go to the station and then call me from there for the address of my house.

I've NEVER had any problem with this, it protects me and keeps the details of my  address relatively safe, until today when a client cancelled an appointment with me because " I never meet without a full address".

I was annoyed, he'd already rung me twice plus a few texts to discuss details of our meet.

However, I'd never even travel to an outcall without a full address from a client so I perhaps can see his side of the argument.

What do other escorts do? I'd appreciate advice.

Your system sounds reasonable to me. Clients who are being difficult about going along with your security precautions at that early stage are best avoided considering even if they are genuine and not up to no good they're likely to be a pain in the ass once you meet in person.

I live in a building with 26 flats so I just give them the building number and tell them to call or txt when they're outside. That way I can go look through the glass on the front door to make sure there's just one person out there. If there were ever more than one I obviously wouldn't open the door. If I can't see anyone, I call them and get them to come to where I can see them.

I don't want to give out the flat number in case they're up to something eg they're casing the place so they can wait until they see me go out and then kick down my door looking for cash and valuables.

I've heard of other escorts giving the building number for a building accross the street from their own so they can look out the window at who's coming before giving the real address.

I usually turn down outcalls unless it's nearby in an ok neighbourhood and doesn't look like council flats on google satelite, or a hotel or the home of someone I've seen before. At least if it's a hotel I can ask for their name and room number then call the hotel and ask to put through to Mr X in room Y to ensure they're really there.

Good advice.

My format is usually for advance bookings as follows:

Soon as time date & some indication how many hours they seek - it is rare I have first time 1hr bookings - yes I can be quite persausive!

1) Initially will share full address EXCLUDING house number.

2) Advise they give me final confirm by phone 24hrs before - sometimes dependent on their situation it could be on same day but at least 4 hrs in advance.

3) When they give final confirm I will share my house number OR if they confirm they will be travelling on the day I say 'right as soon as you are leaving, call or txt me and I will give you my full address'

4) Due to my location quite a few travel by train - I am just two mins from Nunhead station - so it will be either: A) Call me when you are on the train B) If clear they are not computor savy, I offer to meet them off the train.

BUT NO SYSTEM IS FOOL PROOF.

I just wondered if I was operating a double standard - not giving out my address but expecting an address from the client for an outcall.

Like "ozinlondon" I don't do that many outcalls - out of choice - as living in the country it usually involves a long journey and hence a high price.

As I live in a detached house with few houses around it's difficult to give out any address where I could send the client to so as I could see the client without giving out my full address - hence the station address that, up to now, seems to have worked well. The station is easy to find, well signposted, for those clients not using satnav.

I might try "SleazyMichael"s method - initial enquiry = I'm near the station - and then when they confirm = at least give them the road name.

The station address is still not foolproof. Twice over the years I've given my address to clients who have rung from the station - if I'm at all concerned I'll ask them a question i.e. "Whats the shop at the corner of the station forecourt" - and then they were a "no show" at my house.

The client who started this discussion has since rung and says he wants to meet - and he'll contact me when he gets to the station. I've decided that I won't meet him though - for the reasons that "ozinlondon" stated.

I agree with all of the above. Any client who's making you feel defensive in their initial communication is quite likely to be the same in person, so best avoided. Having said that, some of my best, most friendly regulars were initially very coy and difficult to chat to, but there's a difference between shyness and demanding and I'm sure we can all see it. Problems happen when I'm in a bad mood and I can't see the difference!

My method is to state that I'm next to a tube station on initial enquiries and, if they ask for it at any stage, I give them a nearby postcode (about 300m away) which is not my own. This is so that any local lads who are just trying to see who I am aren't able to pin down that it's actually me (I don't have face pics online and live in a bit of a gay village). I ask all clients, regular or otherwise, to confirm on the morning of their appointment. Once they confirm I give them directions but not my address. This is a bit over-cautious but I'd prefer not to receive hate mail from some loser, and 98% of clients have no problems following the directions which I've honed and edited so they're easy to follow. I ask some clients to message when on their way, but that's a subjective judgement call based on how they've come across.

My pet hate has to be new customers who text saying "I'll come between 3 and 4pm". That gets a curt response asking for an exact time for a booking. Just what do these people think I do all day, sit around waiting for them to grace me with their presence?!

Just got to accept that my client was paranoid !!

This is only the second time that I've ever had any problems with getting a client to go to the station and then call me from there. Like "TopGuy" I always get the client to confirm before the appointment or when the client is on his way - not that this means the client will actually appear. I can recite the directions from the station to my house in my sleep I've said it so many times over the years..although some clients do still get lost...its only a minutes drive away and only 2 right turns!!

I agree that you can normally tell the difference between a shy or nervous client and a bloody minded client.

I can feel a new post coming on about clients who can't tell the time and are late or vague about the time that they want to meet..for f..ks sake, you don't do it when you go to the dentist do you??!!

I thought that the clients phone number was recognisable - it ends with 999 - so I trawled through my records and found it - I keep a default / time wasters list but only keep it updated for a period of a couple of years - 3 years ago the client made a booking and did exactly the same thing to me i.e. "I won't meet without your address"

Sensible advice from you both - yes I store ALL no shows - time wasting wank texters - fantasists - stored as combo of IGNORE & TW.

IF you live within walking distance of a station/bus stop & are reluctant to share your home address - best option is to meet them there - could be more of a challenge if your nearest is a tube station!
