Just wandering if any of you is using Facebook and Twitter as a tool to capture clients. All I get people from way too far who are evident they are not interested in hiring or strange guys with strange ideas that are not even worth mention. Is any one getting clients from those two websites or is just something that people say?

I'm sure there are ways to do it. I set up a Facebook/twitter account but they never attracted business, just unwelcome enquires. Now all my new business comes via my website, which kind of makes sense to me. In this day and age, if I wanted to find an escort/erotic masseur, I'd start with google. Not gaydar, qx, Facebook, gindr etc, etc, etc. Not to say they don't work at all. I just think they are all more trouble than they're worth.

Facebook has content restrictions that make advertising very hard indeed.

If you are willing to put up with the wankers, Twitter can be good for driving extra traffic towards a personal site, or can function as a stand-alone advert.

One user on here does very well off Twitter, but it requires daily posting of porn, because Twitter is all about porn. Nobody wants to hear your story. And nobody using Twitter wants to hire an Escort, because they are already looking at free porn.

I've always found Twitter a good source of revenue..be it clients, selling pants, socks etc. For minimal work - posting etc. - it brings in 2 to 3 clients a week.

I agree with James, if your willing to put up with the wankers and time wasters - as in all sites - I find that it works for me.

Twitter was best decision to me. I don't have personal website. 

Anyway I make a trick. People can find my twitter from my escorts profiles but on the twitter I don't say openly I'm a rent boy.

The content is not a problem. Both facebook and twitter are full of very explicit images and even clips. The question is how can it be used for any benefit. I never saw the point to exist in first place and I still think someone who spends time on twitter or facebook is close to dysfunctional, but that is a different thing. Obviously I don't have the skill to use this social media to any business profit. My question is about how to use it no if it is possible because it seems it it possible to use it.

someone asked me this on reddit once. Pasting my response-

1-Buy a whole lot of fake followers from a crowdsource site eg 100,000. A lot of them might be eggs ie no profile pic no nothing, and they'll never interact with you but real twitter users who see that you have lots of followers will assume you're popular because you're awesome, have a hugely entertaining twitter etc and they'll follow you back, mention you in their tweets, be thrilled if you interact with them thinking that any mentions of their twitter on your feed is being shared with a huge audience that will get them more exposure and followers etc.

2- Find escorts in your area who are active on twitter and follow them. If they follow you back, send them a cut and paste hello, thanks for following etc message. This can be automated. Preferably with their twitter handle in the middle of a sentence rather than at the beginning. At the beginning means only they see it. You want all their followers and all of yours to see it too. The more you interact with escorts in your area and they respond, the better chance their followers will see and follow you and some of them will be clients in your area. 3 Post lots of sexy content ie pics, gifs, videos. and hashtag anything clients might search for to find you. Tag in anyone relevant to the post and or anyone you think might retweet it. Always max out the character limit with hashtags and tagging people in.

4 Do a follow Friday every week ie #FF with a list of names of recent followers. Preferably local escorts who tweet a lot and have lots of their own followers.

5 every time you join a new directory or post on your blog or meet a new duo partner in real life or go to a fetish party or whatever, tweet a related pic, gif or vid and tag in whoever you mention and add relevant hashtags up to the character limit. Wait for retweets.

6 If 5 is something important, crowdsource some fake retweets and favourites so it looks more popular and it will get more real retweets and exposure.

7 Whenever anyone tags you into their tweet or retweets something of yours, it means all their followers see it. Pay them back by doing the same for them eg go on their feed and find something you like and retweet it. Don't bother favouriting things, it doesn't help the person since nobody sees it. Retweet instead.

8 If you don't have a website with a blog page, get one, and put a link to it in your twitter bio and mention it in lots of tweets. Also get a plugin that puts your twitter feed on your blog. More new content on your blog with escort related terms is good SEO.

9 if you're selling videos or doing webcam, twitter is a good way to promote. It links up with adultwork which is handy.

10 don't expect to get many, or any, clients directly from twitter but it is good for meeting duo partners, building your website SEO, selling video and cam sessions, and may contribute to some clients making the decision to see you if they see your twitter via your website or other ads and it gives a good impression.
