Guest FelixBalls
SleepyBoy is my favourite website but I found out big problem. Profile is so easy to find by mobile number in google search. It's a bit dangerous. Of course we can use number for work only but still. It's to easy access to many informations and pics. To find out your profile u should put number only in search window. No name, no word escort.., What do u think guys? U'll prefer stay like that or have protected number until someone will access website. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
I think it's also bad to clients. If someone will have access to his mobile (wife or bf) they can find escort to easy Link to comment
Ben Manchester
This issue/functionality is not specific to SleepyBoy , it's due to how search engines index page content on all websites. It would be difficult to prevent search engines from indexing phone numbers without also blocking the rest of the page, or reducing the functionality to the end user (for example, making clients register before they could see phone numbers). Preventing search engines from indexing would also reduce the number of people coming to the directory, which would reduce the volume of work that escorts receive. Making clients register would put some off too, also reducing work. The better solution is to have a separate number for work. That way, anyone who has your personal number will never be able to link it back to your escort career. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
Planetromeo and gaydar block numbers. I think to watch profiles in planetromeo u don't have to open any account. It's public. I think sleepyboy and rentmen should do something with it. Must be option to hide number. It's really to easy to find. Clients aren't looking for escort in google search by number. Ben Manchester
Gaydar is a closed system: there's no way to find escorts unless you join the website. That will work for some clients but many will not register, which is why most people get fewer client bookings through Gaydar compared to SleepyBoy. Planet Romeo does allow non-members to see escort profiles, though the profiles I've seen also display numbers. Planet Romeo doesn't deliberately block your number from search, it's a side effect of the site not being search engine friendly - which may or may not be by design. The design of their website not only prevents search engines from indexing your number but also prevents them from indexing Planet Romeo at all. You won't find Planet Romeo if you search for "gay escorts london" or similar queries either. Not a problem, as Planet Romeo are really only trying to get your ad in front of their members but it does mean that few clients that aren't members will ever see your ad. No, clients aren't searching for escorts by number but they do use search to find gay escort websites to start with. It's difficult for a website to block certain content from Google without having a detrimental effect on its overall search engine placement. That said, SleepyBoy used to have an option to only show your phone number to its members. If that still exists, you could turn the option on to stop your number displaying for non-members - which would include search engines. It might take several weeks or even months before Google updates and your number drops out of their listings though. Of course, you'll still have the problem that if you hide your number from non-members, you will reduce the number of enquiries you receive: many clients will not become members of escort or gay related websites for privacy reasons. Guest FelixBalls
I already had a call from sleepyboy. I'm grateful for that. Ben I understand all of that. I'm really worry that it's really to easy to find out us just by number. It could be issue for clients as well. It's not only about wife or boyfriend but also they use business mobiles and if they work in corporation their company like to check numbers where they call. 1 second and u can find out all about number. It's normally not that easy. Link to comment
Ben Manchester
True but either information is public or it is private, there is no inbetween. Search engines see the same information that other anonymous web users see. If you want to give your number to customers using public advertisements on the internet, the search engines will see (and record) this information too. To prevent the search engines from seeing your number, you must remove it from public advertisements. We could debate whether or not Google should allow people to search for numbers at all - but that is outside of a directory such a SleepyBoy's control. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
Not true. U can't find most of companies or people advertising online by mobile number only Link to comment
Ben Manchester
You can if they are on a well indexed, popular website. Or at least, that is how the web is supposed to work. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
U can't or something has changed in google policy recently . I use to work in PR. Link to comment
Ben Manchester
I'm a web developer. There's no legitimate way for SleepyBoy to hide your number from the search engines without either: damaging their search engine rankings, or reducing usability and accessibility, or restricting your number to only be available to SleepyBoy members. I think we'll have to agree to disagree. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
I'll have to change number just for sleepyboy to protect some clients. I know it's nothing what they can do now but really this small error can become big issue in the future. I'm 98% sure in august last year it wasn't possible to find out profiles by mobile number only. Link to comment
Ben Manchester
You could but not always, same as now. It depends on what Google has indexed and what it feels is relevant. Even now, you won't be able to find all the numbers on SleepyBoy through Google, just some of them. Pick a few numbers off profiles and try it. Algorithms change all the time, your number could just as easily be picked up from a different website in future - if it's publicly indexable. Changing your number on SleepyBoy won't prevent Google from listing your new number in future. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
I know. I tried it. That's why I think it's gap in the system which is dangerous. I'm curious what happen if I change number. I know it's still possible that google will have It 4 long time. Anyway for me website like sleepyboy should protect number for too easy search. I bet some of my clients will have hart attack when they will see how easy is to track me by number only ha ha Link to comment
SleazyMichael
'My Mobile Number Shows In Google Search ' and I am delighted Well I take a very different view! I put my number via google 0790 356 7922 and BINGO - I am very open about my job and if google helps find me clients via my number or whatever terrific. For some years now I have had just one number cover all work & not work - well Michela Da Whore does have a different number! Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
Hi Ben. Do u know how long number will stay in google search if I changed it? I remember it could be from a day to a few months. How does it look currently with google policy? Link to comment
RuffRugged
Problem with sleepyboy, with our numbers it show all links to other escorts to when you google your own number. I think it gets stopped relatively quick, in terms of not showing other escorts profile with your number. I just googled my old number I changed about a month or more ago its still there with a link to sleepyboy but not my profile. Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
Thanks for information. Damn I'm worry it will be there for long. I didn't expect that it could be possible until that situation with client boyfriend. In the past many clients were asking me is it possible to find me by number in google and I said no..... Some clients must be very discreet. It's really to easy to track us. Could u imagine your wife checking your last calls or secretary checking your business calls when everybody in company knows U have wife and kids lol Link to comment
RuffRugged
I am sure most clients would take precautions if they are married, partnered etc. It would only be a regular client this counts for I guess. I am sure a client only intend to see you once won't store your number. I am bit confused the only prevention you will be doing is for yourself, your new number still show on google for sleepyboy profile so there wife can find out anyway Link to comment
RuffRugged
There is apps that gives you a different phone number you could give this to regulars and use original on profiles Link to comment
Guest FelixBalls
It's about clients who want a lot of privacy and they texted me firstly by gaydar, planetromeo, mail or called from blocked numbers in the beginning. We are friends now. They trust me and I can't make mistake like last action. I also think that profiles generally shouldn't be searchable in google by number only. Link to comment
RuffRugged
I would try the app, give them that number when in contact with for the extra privacy clients, that way your number won't be in any search. And if you don't want two phones, get a duo sim phone. Link to comment

There isn't a set time, Google index different websites at different rates and don't publish their reasoning. They also don't tend to index the whole site on each visit, only a proportion is done each time. In theory, an algorithm selects what to index based on how real-time the content is (like news), how often it's likely to update (or has updated in the past) and how popular the website is. I would say however that indexing happens faster now than it ever has done. Google has definitely done a lot of work to improve its speeds. 5 hours ago, FelixBalls said: I also think that profiles generally shouldn't be searchable in google by number only. I don't think Google, or the other search engines, are likely to change their policy on indexing phone numbers anytime soon. 5 hours ago, RuffRugged said: I would try the app, give them that number when in contact with for the extra privacy clients, that way your number won't be in any search. And if you don't want two phones, get a duo sim phone. Having a second number for "extra privacy" clients is a good option. Though generally, I think it's up to the client to prevent others from accessing their phone records. Just because a number isn't on Google doesn't mean someone investigating calls to it won't find out it belongs to an escort. I've had calls from suspicious women, presumably wives, fishing as to who I was and what I did. I expect most escorts are the same. Link to comment
RuffRugged
Yes of course, I had a lady call asking same questions a few years back. Just one of them things out of our control. Link to comment
