What surprises me in this instance is the lack of respect he had towards the escorts and how foolish he was to deal with any escort who would charge these rates. Link to comment

I think this is because most customers are not in the public eye and aren't subject to newspaper interest. Link to comment

There was an anti-prostitution/radical feminist person on Sky News who turned her knowledge of "the going rate" into "exploitation of vulnerable young men"! - plus the fact the guys involved were apparently Polish, I've not noticed any fall in business, although this time of year it starts to pick up again after a quiet summer.
